Air to Air Plate Heat Exchanger

The GUPEX® air to air (gas to gas) heat exchanger is almost exclusively constructed from glass fiber reinforced polyester (GRP), a tried and tested material in corrosive and hostile air and gas environments. The formula gives the heat exchanger long term resistance to acidic air and dusty and otherwise hostile atmospheres. The GUPEX® plate heat exchanger offers the advantages of:

The GUPEX® air to air heat exchanger casing is normally made from polyester sandwich material which offers excellent thermal insulation with no thermal leaks or heat loss anywhere on the construction. The width of the unit has been calculated and designed for optimal thermal efficiency at any given air or gas flow.

Furthermore, the surface finish of the thermal conductive plates is smooth and easy to clean, making it practically maintenance free. The air-air heat exchanger is also designed to successfully process dusty air without clogging. Dust filters are therefore not required in many cases. Dust and particles are a particularly big problem in many or gas processes, for instance:

The GUPEX® gas to gas heat exchanger system is constructed with large access doors and spacious chambers to make it easy to inspect and clean the thermal conductive plates. Cleaning of the air air heat exchanger is simply done with by water flushing or hosing through the plate gaps. Water condensing during heat exchanging process is simply drained away from the bottom chamber through a simple PVC drain pipe.

Type 3 - Air to air (gas to gas) heat exchanger mounted in casing with top and bottom plenum
Type 4 - SINGLE air to air (gas to gas) heat exchanger mounted in casing with bypass, fans and filters
Type 6 - DOUBLE air to air (gas to gas) heat exchanger mounted in casing with bypass, fans and filters
