When an airflow in an industrial process is to be dehumidified it must first be cooled down and then re-heated after the moisture has been removed from the air. The energy required for this process can be considerable. With the GUPEX® industrial air air plate heat exchangers both the cooling down and the re-heating process can be done through a combined cooling and re-heating plate air to air heat exchanger unit. With the rising energy prices the payback period for this installation becomes increasingly favourable.

Many of these industrial air processes require the air handling units to withstand corrosive, moist and dusty air and gas flows. This rules our conventional aluminium heat exchangers since they would not last very long in such environments.

The GUPEX® air to air (gas to gas) plate heat exchangers operate in dusty environments without the need for air filters to protect it from clogging up the plates. The construction is made of plastic composites (polyester, GPR), resistant to most acids and chemicals. These plate heat exchangers are also designed to operate successfully in extremely dusty environments.
